In this team building experience, you and your colleagues will engage in a unique and fun team-building activity that will strengthen your connections and improve communication skills through collaborative songwriting. This team-building activity can be held either in your company's office or in our Manhattan event space, whichever location is more convenient and suitable for your team. Together, you all will participate in the creative process of writing a song, where everyone's ideas and contributions are valued and incorporated into the final product. Through this collaborative activity, you will develop trust, enhance your teamwork skills, and foster a sense of community within your group. Additionally, the planning process involved in songwriting will sharpen your organization and time management skills. No musical experience is required - this class is open to anyone willing to participate and have fun. All they need is a computer and headphones to create a song together! SESSION LINEUP: 1. Introduction: The class will start with an introduction of everyone in the group and a brief overview of the activity. 2. Brainstorming: The group will engage in a collaborative brainstorming session to generate ideas for the song's theme, lyrics, melody, and overall feel. 3. Collaborative Writing: The group will split into smaller groups to work on different parts of the song, such as lyrics, melody, or chord progressions. While the lyrics will be entirely original, there will be some pre-templates of melodies and chord progressions to help with the musical part of the songwriting process. Each group will then present their ideas to the larger group, and everyone will collaborate to refine the song and ensure that everyone's ideas are incorporated. 3. Feedback: As the song takes shape, the group will provide constructive feedback on each other's contributions to refine the song and ensure that everyone's ideas are incorporated. 4. Practice and Recording: Once the song is complete, the group will practice singing and playing their parts together, and the class will end with a recorded performance of the group's song. 6. Reflection: After the song is complete, the group will reflect on the process and discuss what they learned about communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.
